He Did It! Check Hong Kong off the Bucket List....

We learned to take our umbrellas out with us every day in Hong Kong.  You never knew when there would be a sudden down pour and who wants to be soaking wet while touring around the city?  That's why I like this picture of McKay and Loida.  McKay went out and bought these very nice but rather long and in the way umbrellas for Loida and her family that came.  I was happy with my little pack in my purse umbrella which was actually the umbrella Dallin used in his mission.  We packed them around in Japan also but usually they were for shade.  We didn't see much rain while in Japan.
It was a happy day when McKay and Loida got married.  We have been holding our breaths for a long time wondering if it was really going to happen.  Not only did it happen but we got to go back to where Kim served his mission with most of our children.  That was unexpected.  Don't you love jumping pictures?  These are especially nice with the Mary Poppins look.
This is in my top 10 Christensen jumping photos.  It makes me think of how happy they are.
There was not much celebrating ...not your typical wedding.  They got done at the Registry and we all agreed to meet McKay and Loida's family at Pizza Hut.  It is not easy getting a group our size around in Hong Kong but thankfully we are tall and we all arrived to enjoy pizza...it was probably the nicest place we ate at and very Western.  It was McKay's choice.
To be honest, as beautiful as Loida looks in all the photos taken that day, this has got to be my favorite.  McKay wrote the caption:  I got me a wife.
He was trying to help Loida off the bridge where they had been taking pictures, and being the very full of expressions that she is kind a person, this is how she reacted to him pulling her off.  You've got to love it.
Waiting for the bus to go to Victoria Peak

This is the view from Victoria Peak.  Hong Kong was daunting...everything was busy, crowded, and big.  The buses were double deckers and we got our money's worth riding up the winding road to Victoria Peak.  Unfortunately, clouds rolled in and our view was limited.
To be continued.
