Oh Happy Day
It has been a long time in coming for Loida to be baptized. It was such a special experience for McKay and meant a lot to see it all come together. We are excited for Loida and hope this will be a great stepping stone in her life. She made history today by having her confirmation transmitted by phone over different parts of China. We love hearing about the church in China and all that is taking place. It is exciting to have McKay and Loida be part of it.
Edie's Blessing
Today was an emotional day in more than one way. My oldest daughter had her first daughter's baby blessing. It brought back so many memories. It seems like forever ago that I was getting Brooke ready for her blessing in the same dress that her father was blessed in...a simple cotton gown made in the Philippines. She had a blow out before we could take any pictures....so she has no record of her blessing. That is sad. Here we are with four generations. Whit said some beautiful promises with emotion and it was a reminder to us of how much he has added to and blessed all our family.
We went to Brooke and Whit's afterwards and again experienced the Anderson family at it's peak. There were kids everywhere having a great time being with cousins. So different from our family. I love it and am grateful that I can experience it by osmosis. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed visiting under the trees and relaxing. It is not too often that Kim gets to sit and relax on a Sunday!
Friday and Saturday were work days for us. Kim ordered a shed kit and with no one to help him but me, we began. I have never hit so many nails in one day. A nail gun would have made it so much easier but my arms got a good work out!
You may not be able to tell but Kim put the shed so close to the fence that he had to take the fence apart to pound the nails in the back. I am sure that this is up to code?

The end of Saturday and the end of our energy! |
