Sharon's birthday...Halloween in China

The Many Faces of Sharon.  Sharon had her fifth birthday this week and it was fun to be able to watch some of her party via computer.  Tyler put his laptop in the corner and we were like the flies on the wall and got to watch.  It was fun to see and reminded me of all the parties we did as our children grew up.
Sharon is a wonderful girl and very unpredictable.  That is what I like about her.  You  never know how she will react to something and what she will say.  She is a lot of fun.

Loida getting ready to celebrate Halloween with her class

This is what Loida had to say about Halloween:
Anyhow, we had a Halloween "mini-party" in my class last week and the kids were so crazy but I am sure they had fun. I drew and cut masks for them (I only have 39 students and I teach only one class). Then they have to color it and make it nice so they can use it to say "trick or treat."  That was fun.
Kim and I commented about her only having 39 students.  It is all about perspective!  McKay said he threw his bag of candy to his TA so the kids would stop mobbing him.  He had a lot of fun with Halloween also.  Maybe we will see his pirate hat and patch someday in a picture.  We sure miss McKay but it is wonderful to think that yesterday we visited with our friends in Mozambique and showed them our snow via face to face, talked to McKay in China and then watched Sharon's party in Wisconsin.  We live in amazing times and I am very grateful to have these things that I never imagined when my kids were young!
