Big Brother to Bee....
Winston is announcing that he is going to be a big brother in March. Whawho...and oh boy--deja vue of when Brooke was born...and 20 months later she was a "big sister". Crazy times, fun times ( in looking back!).
Grandma Christensen's Funeral ...She slipped quietly away this August 14th. Kim called me just as I was heading to a class at Education Week about the Spirit World. I was surprised because even though she has been wanting to move on forever, I thought there would be a warning or sign that the time was near.

Brigham City Temple |

We had a sweet experience after going to the Mortuary to dress Kim's mom for the funeral. We went to the temple...the Brigham City Temple!!!! I never thought Brigham would have it's own temple. We were given the VIP treatment since it wasn't open to the public yet. We put on our puppy eye faces and this is when being nice to others comes in handy. Someone that knew us from when we lived in Brigham, ushered us in with the others. It is a beautiful temple. BEAUTIFUL. The people are too. We saw dear familiar faces around every corner.

Even though Mom's brother is on dialysis and swore he would never travel again , he came with his son from Arizona. Margaret flew in with cousin Dan and Eleanor came from California after just visiting Mom. Kimiko and Dan had just gotten home from visiting Grandma when they got the news that she had gone quietly in her sleep. They turned around with a month old baby and came back from California.

My brother brought my mom. It was nice for her to see Brigham again.

Kerry's family |
We had people from California, St. Louis, Arizona, Georgia, Alabama, and Utah.
Allan came from St. Louis. We don't get to see him too often. We were able to see all the new babies from Mariko, Libby, Kari-Lyn and Kimiko!

Thus ends an era for Kim's family. We will miss Mom C. and her feisty nature and letting us know just what she thought. Now there will be no more gatherings at mom's house. Whose in charge? When will we get together? Will we stay in touch? These are all questions we have considered this past week as we are reminded how important keeping track of family members, helping each other and showing our love is. It is something that takes work, a good attitude, and a determination to do it. Hurray for Christensens!
