Easter Fun minus little kids

Spring is in the air even though the weather doesn't let on.  This is our willow tree outside the living room window.  One day I watched a dove building a nest around the mother bird.  If you look carefully you will see the dad.  The mum is in the nest next to him.  Nature is amazing and I enjoyed the sign that yes, Spring is here even if it is raining and snowing and everything but sunshine.

We had an egg hunt this week before Dallin leaves for Europe.  Kim had a great time hiding eggs way up in the tree.  I would throw them up to him and most often they would hit a branch and fall back down but Dallin had a great time finding many "tin foil" eggs and then McKay hurried up and tried to give him some competition.  It was great fun.

You can't have Easter come without coloring some eggs.  A tradition we have tried to start with our painted eggs is a contest to see whose egg can be rolled against everyone else 's egg and not get cracked.  We are still working out the bugs.
The best part of the weekend was the gift that Brooke compiled.  It was to celebrate our 35th anniversary which we had every intention of celebrating but we were to speak at a Single Adult fireside  and wanted to do a power point presentation and it took longer than we thought so no celebrating per se.....yet.  She made a book with family pictures and 35 things we learned from Dad and Mom in 35 years.  It is wonderful.  We loved it.  We also enjoyed being able to work on a fireside together and think about SERVICE.

This was the final picture of our power point.  It was to illustrate the power of service to make us clean.
In Mosiah 4:26   And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you---that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given to learn, speak and teach about the gospel.  What a wonderful world.  I love babies...especially when they are my family.
