November is Going Too Fast

Sapporo in October
It is a good omen that I have not posted since October.  It means I am busy and moving on in my life.  Yippee.  It really has been quite crazy and sometimes I would like a day where I don't have a million things on my list that I know will not get done in one day.
Dallin sent this picture of Sapporo.  We spent last night looking for a hotel near the Mission Home and a train station because we are going to Japan in 3 more weeks!!!  I can't believe it.  The time has just crept up and I am not ready.  We want to go cross country skiing while Dallin snowboards.  That is a tender thing for me because Bryce and Dallin talked about how cool it would be if they could go snowboarding in Sapporo together at the end of his mission.  It is something that several of Dallin's friends from the mission said they wished they could have done before they went home.  It looks like it might happen minus Bryce.
I have been busy with Thanksgiving and Christmas plans and can't believe that most of the kids will be home.  Earlier in the season it looked like it might just be Dallin home for the holidays but miracles happen and we are thinking through the sleeping arrangements because we will have a full house.  Yippee again.
Today I made pumpkin soup from one of the baking pumpkins that Susie brought from the nursery.  It is a lot of work but has a creative feel to it as you peel the pumpkin and scoop out the stringy insides.  Susie served chili in a baked pumpkin.  I am having friends over for lunch and I am going to serve the soup inside a pumpkin.  Yup.  Thanksgivng is here.  I wish November would slow down!  Here we come Sapporo!!!
