My beat up 1993 Mazda didn't pass emissions and after a month of trying to get it to pass emissions and it still failed, I decided it was time for a new car. I had been on the look out for a good deal and there wasn't really one but I basically had the weekend to get a car that I could drive legally! This is what I ended up with. It is a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. I love it but the more I drive it the more things I find that don't work so great. I think I paid to much for it but oh well. That is what you get for buying things in a crunch. I do miss my stick shift!
It has been a long time since I last posted so here is a quick update on my life. November marked my one year mark as being a nurse. I still feel like I just started. I have one more year left on my contract. I am enjoying my job and those that I work with. I get to practice my Spanish quite frequently. I am currently listening to Spanish cds on my way to work. It is good practice.
In December I got to go home for christmas and spend some time with the family. It was so nice just to chill at home and get to spend time with mom. Christmas is a little different now that we are all grown up. We need more kids in the family! I went through the temple while I was at home. I was the last one out of us six kids! It was a great experience.
January was basically uneventful. I got to work on New Year's Eve and Day. The joys of working in a 24/7 facility. Moving on to Feb. I had my 30 birthday and Mom and Dad came down to help me celebrate. Mom already posted our activities so moving on...
I just got a new calling in the stake. I am now the Stake RS secretary. I felt like today was initiation starting with meetings at 6:30AM. I am quite overwhelmed with this calling and hope that I can do a good job. As you all know, I am not the most organized/neat person so it will be a challenge. We have two spanish speaking branches so I will get even more experience using my spanish.
Well that about sums up my life for the last several months. Pretty exciting, eh? I know you are all envious and wish you could have a life as exciting as mine!

Mom kept telling me you were getting a Honda Pilot, which I thought sounded a little fishy since it's an SUV. Glad to see you got a cool little care instead.
