What A Great Weekend! Go BYU!

Friday night we got to eat at Bombay House courtesy of Brooke because Kim did her taxes and did a terrific job of getting every penny possible.  Brooke and Whit met us and after short consultation with those that have experience with Indian food ( that would be Whit) we ordered a most delicious meal with my fav: SHRIMP!  We were stuffed to the brim and headed to check out a furniture store since we had an hour before Vocal Point.  The concert was my Christmas present from the kids.  I love Vocal Point.   It was such a great concert and alot of fun.   At intermission I spotted one of Bryce's SACTM companions and visited with him.  It was fun to see him out with a date.  Way to go Richard.
The next day we attended an Alumni's Award Banquet at BYU where Kim's branch president from Ricks was being honored.  We sat with President Stubbs first wife's son from Ogden and found a common love of hiking and exchanged notes.  It was great to see President Stubb's family and visit with him again.  Then we ran to Kim's office, changed into BYU blue and headed to the Rugby field.  We wanted to see another fellow SACTM returned missionary get beaten by the Cougars.  He was in the movie, "Forever Strong" before serving in South Africa.  We met him at the Egans and loved being with him and his mom.  We were happy to sit next to someone that understood a little about rugby but sad to not see Steven playing.  Later I spotted him on the sidelines and after the game we exchanged hugs and found out he had strained muscles in his ankle during an early season practice and was out for the rest of the season.  Whaaaa.
Then we hurried up to check out International Cinema and saw yet another SACTM missionary and cousin Elizabeth.  Happy reunions! We then went to a reception of Bryce's Walker's son.  Another connection to Bryce as he was employed by Bryce Walker to work for the city TV station.  Happy Days Ahead as we continue to see and be supported by those we love and are reminded how great life.
