It's been a while since I posted, so I thought now would be a good time.
On the 13th I drove down to Las Vegas in a big van with my roommate (Colin), his dad and brothers, and a few of the kids from the dorm next to us. We went to the BYU-UNLV game (BYU won 24-14), slept at a hotel, and drove back Sunday morning. I had hoped to do a lot of homework on the six hour drive down and the six hour drive back, but the bumpy van made it very hard to concentrate, so I ended up not getting a whole lot of homework done.
That put me way behind in school, so pretty much all of last week I was scrambling to get my homework done for all of my classes. I had 4 essays due near the end of the week, so I was really busy. I stayed up till at least 1 'o clock doing homework every night last week.
I finally got caught up in my classes, and since Friday have been loving life.
On Friday I came home and got to eat dinner with Mom and Dad and then go over to the Anderson's and play games and talk with them (Kelley was visiting home. She lives in Twin Falls now). Saturday morning we got to go bowling as a family, as Mom already mentioned.
I got to see BYU beat Eastern Washington 42-7 in the snow on Saturday night. About mid-way through the 3rd quarter, most people were leaving because of the slush/snow. Colin and I decided to get better seats and ended up sitting right behind EWU's bench at about the 45 yard line. We loved the seats and had fun watching the game. Yesterday morning we were watching the rebroadcastation of the game before our classes and we saw ourselves on TV right behind the on-field reporter. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've been on TV, so that was cool. (It's fairly ironic that the first home game when we didn't paint ourselves is when we finally made it on TV)
Today is my birthday--thanks to everyone for the presents and good wishes. Mom, Dad, and Brooke pooled together and got me a nice digital camera (just like Mom's but slightly better). McKay took me out to eat at a Chinese buffet today, it was delicious. Tyler is getting me some of his sweet movies for my iPod. Thanks again to everyone, I've had a great birthday!
