Can you see the bees...they are loving the apricot blossoms. They aren't our bees however. Our hives are empty. It is quite sad but true.
Our hive at the Wollenziens had moths and they were in the hive but DEAD.
You have to look hard but the bees are there. |
This is our neighbor across the street that just got back from winter in Yuma. |
We went and spent Sunday at Brookes. It was great to see Conference on the big screen but hard to focus because it was much more entertaining to watch Winston. He is learning how to walk.
Edith has grown a lot in the past few weeks! | |
Brooke and Whit have come up with variations on Rumicub. They are playing "Speed" Rumicub after Conference.
Look at Kim...he's still got it!
This weekend brought some news that has made our summer look much more interesting. Elder Quentin Cook is coming to our Stake Conference in June. It will be Father's Day and my 60th birthday. That's a lot packed into one weekend! Then we are all making plans to go to Hong Kong in July. ( That would be my kids and us). It is a dream come true for Kim to make it back to Hong Kong before he is too old to enjoy it and to have some of our children with us makes it even better. So many plans...so little time.
My favorite thought ( at least one of them) from Conference was from Elder Packer: There are few things more powerful than the prayer of a faithful mother.
We are so blessed to have this time to listen and learn what the concerns and thoughts of the church are and to evaluate oneself and how we are doing. It is a great blessing and just like the changing of the seasons, it is a powerful reminder of the value of change, and consistency. They both make life interesting!
