So Much to Be Thankful For!

I love Fall and always look forward to being with family during Thanksgiving.  We began our morning reading the scriptures, watching videos by Elder Nelson and the church, eating the yummiest Pumpkin Sour Cream Coffee cake with omelets...we were so full and then writing down the 10 things we are most thankful for.  I was "grateful" that Kim and I had run 3 3/4 miles that morning and then worked in the yard.  He put up the Christmas lights while I raked the leaves and hauled them to the garden.
We headed to my Mom's house and enjoyed being with most of my siblings.

The next day we had a traditional slot canyon hike.  This is the 4th year we have hiked after Thanksgiving...it is a great way to burn some of the extra calories and is so nice to get outside and feel the sun.  We changed from Ding and Dang this year and did an 8 mile Little Wild Horse Canyon.  When we finished we visited with a couple touring from Australia.  It was a great day and we are so glad we can do fun things like that.

A really cool tree that is at the trail head

What's not to love about this picture?

The End of the Trail...we sure missed McKay's great fun photo skills and having everyone with us but we still had a great time and Kira got to ask her dad questions which is always a good time.  We are a little stiff tonight!
Our Thanksgiving time was completed when we went with our family to the Provo temple.  I am very grateful for temples and for all of those that serve in them so that I can go just about any time or day!
