On Saturday we were working outside...the one nice day we have had this spring and we heard a loud buzzing just like last week. We looked at the bee hives and sure enough, bees were leaving the hive and swarming. They flew around in the air until they went over our apple tree and decided to swarm on a branch. Kim hurried and looked through the hives for anymore queen cells, got rid of them, put another souper on the hive and then CUT my apple tree branch off ...that's right. I am still mourning. It was full of buds. He shook the bees back into the hive. We decided the swarm we saw last Saturday was also from our hives. Bees are tricky business. Kim is still learning what to do and having a great time doing it...McKay likes it alot too. Me...I watch from a DISTANCE!
