Good Bye McKay

Last night was McKay's final evening with us.  We are sad.  We will miss him checking in at the office to see if Kim has candy in the jar.  We miss hearing the door open early on Saturday morning and McKay calling out...are you guys still in bed?  We will miss the laundry runs and watching him stuff the nice, clean clothes into his laundry bag...no folding required.  We might miss all the help he has given us as he patiently uploads, explains, demonstrates things we can do on our computer.  I will have to call in later on that one.  We will miss going out to eat with him and all the visits.  We are happy he graduated and is going to Alaska and doing something he wants to do.  We are impressed with all the things he learned, did and shared with others.  We are also impressed that he is leaving school having no debts and paying for everything himself.
Last night, Brooke Smith, recently returned from teaching English in Japan, came over and taught us how to make some delicious food.  Her "taco....something Japanese sounding" maker was a hit.  She put in batter and we would sprinkle cabbage, ham, onions, sprinkles, etc. into the center and then turn them.  We had a great FHE lesson and enjoyed it being more than just Kim and Wynette.
We will miss you McKay.  We hope you still love it in Alaska and don't forget to phone home!
