Bittersweet Experience
Today after shopping at Shopko, I checked my receipt and to my surprise, got the First Wednesday, Senior Citizen discount without her even inquiring if I was a Senior Citizen. What does this mean? I guess there is a down side to my gray hair. It definitely makes me look older ...but the upside? 15% discount on all my purchases! Yahoo. They were all Clearance items or marked down to boot. Way to go!

oh no! I had to laugh, though. I am sorry. Hey, discounts are always good, right? And young people never know how old older people are, just as I never know how old younger people are now
I look forward to going to ShopKo on the first Wednesday of the month! I've decided to embrace my gray hair, my 50+ age and go for the discounts!
Artic Circle also has a 15% off card for us "seniors" 55 and older!
Who knew growing old would have so many perks!!! (yeah, right)
